Kingsholm and Gloucester Rugby have been at the heart of the lives of our supporters and families for many generations. In addition to hosting christenings and marriages we also feel very strongly that it is fitting to host celebrations of the lives of many of our life-long supportive fans and take this responsibility very seriously.
The newly built 1873 Suite has magnificent views onto the famous hallowed turf of Kingsholm, where many of our fans have cheered on their much loved Cherry and Whites. The Kingsholm team will ensure that your celebration of the life of the deceased runs smoothly with the utmost respect to the family and friends attending, whilst also doing our utmost to follow the wishes of all parties to ensure that a memorable occasion is had by all.
We understand that, for those left behind, organising a Celebration of Life, or a Wake, is a very emotional time and the team at Kingsholm are able to help you make the decisions required, and take the organisational responsibility off of you shoulders.
Scattering of the Ashes at Kingsholm
Our experienced and considerate team will ensure your loved ones’ memories continue at Kingsholm, the home of Gloucester Rugby. Should it be a wish of your recently departed to have their ashes scattered on one of the worlds most famous playing parks, our stadium manager will make the appropriate arrangements. A suite will be made available to you for a lunch and drinks reception whilst you watch the players training, once the pitch is clear we can organise the ceremony for you to scatter the ashes on the pitch. A truly fitting send off.
